My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

This adorable Pyrenees Lab girl is Pearl, a great mix of two wonderful breeds! Pearl is a very sweet girl who loves to play with her best dog pals Yeti and Sophia. She is not hyper at all, she has a lower energy level but she would love another dog or two for companions to play with. Her foster mom describes her as loving and laid back. Pearl came in from one of the worst neglect cases we have ever seen in all of our years of doing rescue. Pearl is doing remarkably well considering all she has been through. Her foster mom has done a fantastic job working with her. She will come up to you for attention and pets, she is very loving. She is an adorable, very sweet girl who has come such a long way from when she first arrived to rescue. Pearl will likely be a bit shy when transitioning to a new home until she settles in and feels comfortable and secure. We just love this sweet girl and so will you. Pearl still needs leash work and would do best with a patient owner who will work with her and give her time to learn a new routine. Pearl was so neglected in her former life and was in horrible shape when she arrived to rescue. Pearl is heartworm positive and we are treating her with the slow kill method and provide meds until she tests clear. We are so thankful for her kind fosters who worked with her and the rest of the dogs in this group to get them ready for homes of their own!

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.

We may consider fostering for some of our dogs who are in boarding. Please visit Fostering FAQfor an application and information about our fostering program.
