My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chloe is a Courtesy Listing and is not housed at the Animal Shelter. Please note that the City of Bloomington Animal Care & Control accepts no responsibility for this pet. Potential adopters are responsible for communicating directly with the pet's guardian. We are having to rehome my parents cat since they are moving to nursing home. I’ve tried to keep the cat but my small dog can not get used to it and is causing the cat problems. She is a very sweet kitty, very furry and likes to lie in sunny spots and sometimes play with her mouse toys. I have at least a month’s worth of food and all supplies that can go with the cat. Her rabies and distemper shots are good through June 23. If you are interested in Chloe please email jateague@indiana.edu. ***Please ignore the Apply to Adopt button for this pet & contact the owner directly***

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Please come in and visit with our pets available for adoption. Once you find an animal you would like to adopt, you will be asked to fill out an adoption survey and meet with an adoption counselor. We do require landlord approval and we do not adopt out animals to live completely outside. Our adoption fees are $75 for dogs and cats under 5 years old and $55 for those 5 years and older.

More about this shelter

The shelter has very active volunteer and foster programs. Volunteers walk dogs and help with cat care. Fosters take young, shy and injured animals into their homes to prepare them for adoption. Learn more on our website and consider getting involved today!
