My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Timber is a Domestic Short Hair (DSH)-mix, male, DOB: 9/25/22
Very much a gentle a gentle soul, with a bit of a mischievous side, Timber can be a little hesitant when presented with unfamiliar situations but his super-friendly, inquisitive nature makes it impossible for him to play coy for long. Once confident and knowing all is well – he warms up quickly. Definitely liking attention, he will readily approach people to give and receive affection when he feels comfortable.
Affectionate and friendly, Timber is a people cat, and as much as he loves her toys and playtime, he’ll leave them behind in a second for any opportunity to visit with her favorite people. He's very interested in new comers and toys to be played with, but he has a definite comfort zone in which he operates, and without a doubt, he will need some time to observe his new environment and get comfortable before being willing to show the fun-loving, playfully impish side of his personality.
Timber, along with littermates, Venus and Haystack: came to Monroe SPCA as orphans needing critical care - all 3 kittens, not able to eat on their own, found outdoors. The three kitten siblings spent their first months with Monroe SPCA in medical foster being treated for URIs, Giardia, Coccidia, and Roundworm.
Now a happy, healthy feline, Timber is looking for his forever home with a family who can give him the time and attention a young cat needs. Although Timber can be adopted individually, we recommend a pairing with several of our other young cats having compatible personalities and temperament.
Timber is best suited as an indoor pet and companion for a home with a calm, low-active to moderately active lifestyle and no active young children under the age of six (6). He's comfortable with other compatible cats and kittens, and he’ll be comfortable in the presence of well-mannered, cat-friendly dogs after being given some adjustment time to warm-up and settle into his new surroundings. As with all Monroe SPCA adoptable animals, a home visit and a meet-n-greet with any housemate pets will be required prior to adoption.
Timber currently resides at Monroe SPCA’s Adoption Center and Retail Store. You can meet him by appointment with pre-approved adoption application. To start the adoption process, complete and submit Monroe SPCA’s adoption application linked above.
All Monroe SPCA cats available for adoption have an adoption fee of $85.00. This fee includes the cat being spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, tested for FeLV and FIV, and microchipped with lifelong registration prior to adoption.
Completed applications can be emailed to info@monroespca.org or dropped off at Monroe SPCA’s Adoption Center and Retail Store located at 293 W. Monroe Street, Dundee, MI.
