My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Weight: 17lbs & 6lbs
Special considerations: bonded pair
Meet Hank and Ginger! These little lovebirds are looking for a home with a lap to curl up on. They were surrendered together in California and really rely on each other to feel safe. Hank is protective of his little friend and likes to check on her throughout the day and tell new people to be nice to her. Ginger is shy at first but loves running around with other dogs once she’s warmed up. She also like to walk under and curl up with her BFF. They are hoping for a family in a calm environment where they won’t have to go on long scary walks in the city. If this adorable duo sounds like your speed, call to learn more about Hank and Ginger!
Hank and Ginger are current on vaccines, neutered/spayed and microchipped.

More about this rescue

Founded by Vivian Goldbloom in 2013, Emerald City Pet Rescue exists to rescue abused, neglected, and homeless animals from high-volume shelters around the country.

We pride ourselves on providing the best medical care possible for our rescued animals and rehabilitating hard-to-adopt animals to help them increase their chances of finding loving homes.

Our screening process includes meet and greets, reference checks, and a visit to the potential owner’s home to ensure the home and family are compatible with the pet’s needs and our requirements. We do everything we can to ensure that loving homes are found for these amazing pets.

Emerald City Pet Rescue is run by dedicated staff and volunteers who give their time and resources to house, train, rehabilitate, and care for our animals. Above all else, we truly believe that Love Can Save Lives.
