My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Persy and I am a wonderful puppo! I LOVE tennis balls and since I am an all-weather gal, I don't mind plunging in the snow to get them. I am a compact 50ish lb. terrier-mix with a short coat, soft ears and cute terrier toes. I can be trusted when left alone to not get in the trash or shred your things, but I'd prefer to come with you as I am quiet and sit in my seat on car rides. I walk VERY gently on a leash and take teats just the same. I don't bark, even when I am feeling playful and silly, so I could live nicely in an apartment. I also don't get upset if you pick me up, or touch my tail, toes, ears or mouth, but I will probably give you a lick if you do. I am house broken and am probably smart enough to use a doggy door if you have one. I am learning to sit ... for bacon! With all my wonderful qualities, you are probably wondering why I am looking for my forever home at the beautiful age of 8. Unfortunately, my best friends are humans and only humans. I am very sweet with two-legged friends but am otherwise best described as dog and cat 'de-selective.' I need to be the 'only child,' but I promise to make it such a sweet, funny, easy time that you won't need anyone else. I am untested with kiddos, but will probably be fine with them.

Go meet their pets

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. For additional information regarding how you, too, can become a foster, please see our fostering page located on our web site!

CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
