My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tess!

Hello there, my name is Tess. I'm just a young adult, weighing in at just 42 pounds, so foster mom says they watch so I don't lose too much weight. I had a loving family, and actually, they loved me so much that they surrendered me to Albert's when I got really sick and they couldn't fix me. After lots and lots of testing, we finally know what I have. It's called Cutaneous Prototheca. It's a very rare disease, and I will have to be on medicine (approximately $80 per month) 2 times a day for my whole life to make sure I'm comfortable. It affects my skin, and I get sores, but if I don't take medicine, it could go to my insides. The good news is, this disease doesn't hold me back from having a very regular life! I'm still happy and young and have lots of life left in me!

I get along well with other dogs and love to play outside with them! Outside is one of my favorite places to be. Running in the yard, playing in the hose, swimming in the kiddie pool, all the things! I go outside to do my pottying, and I'm crate trained inside. I'm not a fan of other dogs being by my crate or food/water, so I can get quite bossy with them about it. I used to live with a 10 year old boy, and I loved him, but now I just live with adults, and I love them too! I'm a happy go lucky girl who loves my outside time. I would love adventures with my humans, and now it's my time to find my new family! Maybe you are ready to add a young new pooch who just deserves her own forever to your home?

*Tess is being fostered in the Milton area.
