Hamilton (born 4/12/2021) is a 2-year-old, 42-pound, Shepherd / Hound mix. Hamilton was in a home where the schedule changed and his person was working long 12-hour days. Hamilton is a very friendly, loving boy who really enjoys training with treats and playing fetch with you! He is looking for a home where he has a good regular routine and he can run, play and continue with the training he loves! If you lead him, Hamilton will follow.
We really appreciate that you want to give a shelter animal a home. The Humane Society of New York was founded in 1904. The Vladimir Horowitz/Wanda Toscanini Horowitz Adoption Center is a no-kill shelter. Our on-site clinic and staff of skilled Veterinarians looks after the health and well-being of every animal here. We also have a great adoption matchmaking team who will gladly take your profile and match you or your pet with just the right cat or dog companion. We start the process once you have submitted an application to us. Once a completed application is received, the HSNY Adoption Team will review it and we will contact you if we are going to take next steps.
