The Humane Society of New York does not do "same-day" adoptions. We begin the process by having you visit our adoption page to fill out and submit an Adoption Application. We will contact you if we have the right cat or dog to match your lifestyle, preferences and personality.

And because we don't "dispose" of them for this, our cost for keeping them healthy and becoming better companions is high.
