Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! My name is Murphy, and I am in Los Angeles living with my human foster parents and fur foster sister. I am waiting to be matched to my forever home! I was rescued from the dog meat trade in South Korea by the DoVE Project. My fate would have been to live in fear and distress, watching dogs being led to slaughter for human consumption. DoVE Project heard about me, and now I am looking for my forever family!
* ID/NAME: CARE23-008 / Murphy
* SEX/WEIGHT/AGE: Male / 72lbs / 3.7 yrs
* BIRTH DATE: July 1, 2019
* BREED: Chinook/St.Bernard Mix
* VACCINATIONS/SPAY/NEUTER/HEALTH: Vaccination up to date/Neutered/Healthy
* BEHAVIOR: Murphy is a gentle, easygoing pup. He loves spending time outdoors and going for walks with his foster sister. He enjoys other dogs and meeting new people. He loves toys and doing zoomies in his yard. Murphy is content to hang around his foster family when going to new places. Murphy is a gorgeous dog with a beautiful smile and soft brown eyes. He always seems to draw people in with his sweet energy wherever he goes.
* BACKGROUND: Murphy was rescued from a dog meat farm located in/around Gyeyangsan Mountain, South Korea. The farm was sending 4 or 5 dogs to the slaughterhouse on a daily basis as a preliminary step for the complete shutdown. Rescuers in South Korea managed to persuade the farmer, to halt the slaughter, and demolish the hanging wire cages. As a result, the dog meat farm has practically transformed into a shelter. Rescuers and 450 citizens have hitherto sent 90 dogs abroad and they are still striving to save the remaining 160 dogs.
* SIBLINGS/FAMILY: Unknown (from the same dog meat farm as Peter)
