Hey, There-my name is Watson but my nickname should be Mr. Playful. I LOVE everyone I meet. Person-dog-cat- whatever…I’m going to follow you around and ask for all the pets! My favorite activities include chasing a ball around the backyard and going for walks with my foster dad. I’m one of the friendliest dogs in the rescue so I always get invited to all their fun events. I’m not only a master on a leash but also do great on car rides & in my kennel. I may be playful but I know how to read a room and when to chill.
We asked my foster dad for a list of things about me- he did a pretty good job!
He loves to share your pillow at night (or try to take it all)
He chases his tail like a tornado.
Gives you little love sniffs to the face.
Rolls over on top of you for belly rubs.
Like to lay against your legs while napping.
Peeks his head in the shower and wants to lick your wet legs.
Follows you everywhere. At ALL TIMES.
He gives good hugs.

• Applicants must be 21 years or older and must be able to provide proof of age.
• Applicants must be within 50 miles of Memphis.
2.
Approve Application
• Applicants are required to provide personal and vet references. We will be calling these references before approving the application.
3.
Interview
• Applicants will interview with the ALIVE Rescue President first. If approved, you will get to speak to the dogs foster family after.
4.
Home Check
• Applicants will allow an ALIVE representative to come to their home with the dog. At this time you will meet your potential new pup!
5.
Pay Fee
• Currently, the requested donation to adopt a dog from ALIVE Rescue Memphis is $275.00 for an adult and $300 for a puppy.
6.
Sign Adoption Contract
• Once adoption is approved and fees are paid, applicants will sign our ALIVE Rescue adoption Contract to finalize the adoption.
7.
Take the Pet Home
• Welcoming your new family member is the last step, and the best step!
Additional adoption info
• We require an additional $75 training deposit at the time of adoption. You will be required to enroll and complete a training class with your new companion at one of our approved training facilities. Once ALIVE Rescue Memphis receives proof of the completed class, this $75 deposit will be refunded.
• Any current pets must be up to date on vaccinations, and be spayed/neutered. Exceptions to this will only be considered if proof of a medical explanation is provided.
• All members of the family living in the home where the animal will be placed must be interviewed.

We are a foster based rescue and currently our dogs are hanging out on couches in Memphis, TN. We are also more than happy to bring an animal to you, once the application is filled out and approved and you are currently in Memphis. We will also always do meet and greets with your current pets, to make sure the animal is a good fit. We are able to do this during the home visit, or at a nearby location. Whatever makes your current pets, most comfortable.
