My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Birthday: August  2023

If you need someone who will act as an ambassador and kindly welcome visitors to your home, Ethel has all the credits and background checks that qualify her for the position!  Whenever a new human enters the household, she will put them to work.  By this, we mean she starts cuddling up to them the minute they sit down!  It's hard to ignore this cute little ball of affection!

We believe it is a secret power of hers.  People seem to gravitate towards her as if they were meant to be friends from the get-go!  This actually happened when she was discovered at a truck stop parking lot!  As soon as she realized that the humans who found her were friendly, she couldn't contain herself!  She was just so happy to be loved!  They took her to the vet to make sure there was nothing wrong with her, but unfortunately, the doctor diagnosed her with IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome).  Thankfully, all she needs to manage this condition is to take one pill twice a day and a prescription diet!  Her foster has it down to a science, and Ethel takes it like a champ!

Though Ethel might have IBS and looks a little small, she's an incredibly happy and silly girl!  She loves to cuddle next to anyone and anything.  If you have a lap, you're her favorite spot!  She also enjoys tummy and cheek rubs!  She'll flop over like a pancake on a skillet and purr for attention!  We have to warn all mouse toys in the household that she will pounce on them!  She will knock them all over the floor!  She looks like a kitten and plays like one too!  It's hard to believe she's as old as she is!  Her laidback attitude has really made it easier for her to befriend anyone, including cats!  Everyone who has met her has fallen in love with her!  She loves other cats and, as long as they behave, well-mannered kids!  If you're the type of person who has a hard time starting a conversation, Ethel will be the one to break the ice!  New people are always a treat for her!

Ethel’s adoption donation is $50 which includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and spay.
