My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

A generous donor has sponsored Peanut's adoption donation! Peanut is a beautiful 5 year old, 12 pound chocolate Chi that was abandoned in a home with his big furry brother. When he came to us from the shelter he had horrible skin and eye issues. Unfortunately, his dry eye was never treated and he developed an ulcer. Even though everything was done to save the eye, it did need surgically removed due to a rupture. Now that he is all healed this boy is ready for his forever home! His dry eye is treated with daily eye drops, and he is a good little guy to get his drops. Peanut has had one mild seizure recently, and has some demons that can come out to play at night. He has been on phenobarbital since August, and it has helped significantly. If he wakes up with a low growl, he can be easily talked back to calm, and swiftly goes back to sleep. He prefers to sleep with his people, but you must be warned it can be risky during the night if his demons come out. Besides that, Peanut is one healthy, playful, and loving boy who is ready for any adventure with his family. He is crate trained during the day, house trained, leash trained, loves car rides and just a little love bug. Peanut gets along with other dogs, but wrestling and getting the tennis ball first are his favorite things. He will even play fetch all by himself for your entertainment, and his toys get lots of air time! Peanut is your typical chihuahua who wants to be the center of your world. Won't you give this boy his dream of a forever home? To adopt Peanut, please complete an adoption application at peacelovepoms.rescuegroups.org. The $350 adoption donation has been sponsored by a donor and includes core vaccines (Rabies, Parvo/Distemper, and Bordatella), Accuplex (Heart worm and Lyme test), fecal, microchip, bloodwork, neuter, dental, and all the love you can handle!

Go meet their pets

Peace Love and Poms Rescue is not a shelter environment. All our dogs are placed in loving foster homes where they are treated like family until a forever home is found. This means all approved applicants will need to make an appointment with the foster pawrents to meet their potential new pet.
