These two sweethearts were rescued from down south and brought to us in search of the life they deserve but have never had ☹ Athena is a 2yr old female Terrier mix, weighing roughly 40lbs. Poor girl was half starved when we first saw her. She is doing better now. Athena is sweet, very playful and a little rambunctious. Amazing what a good meal or two can do for a girl, huh? Titan is a very handsome 3yr old male Mastiff mix, weighing roughly 75lbs. He seems very laid back and really sweet. Due to their size, child under the age of 13yrs not recommended.

Pioneers for Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), Inc., is a 501(c)(3) not for profit, all volunteer NYS corporation which has been operating on Long Island for 40 years. We are working to create a better welfare system for all the animals in our communities. Over the years, we created, and continue to create, a number of valuable programs which serve to promote our mission to create respect for all animals, to educate individuals about animals, to help people keep their animals, and to provide assistance with the control of the animal population on Long Island.
