My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

CROSSPOSTED

Meet Willie, a handsome two-year-old, 60 lb. Bulldog/Staffordshire Terrier mix with the most stunning amber eyes and adorable smile. He was found as a stray in South Carolina before making the journey to Connecticut to find his furever family. Sadly, Willie has now been waiting over a year and has no interest since being with us.

Willie is very much a snuggler, once he gets to know you! He's the type of pup that you will need to build trust with. He adores his kisses and will cuddle up on the couch and watch a movie with you for hours on a rainy day. Willie loves his toys, walks around the neighborhood, hikes in the woods, and running around the backyard. He is the handsomest boy but he doesn’t love being in front of the camera - he definitely has the "mug shot" down. Ha! Willie is very smart and knows some commands such as sit, crate, down, and even paw.

After being in the shelter system most of his life, he is the most deserving boy of a furever home. Willie responds very well to correction, is crate trained, and housetrained. Most of the time he’s lounging around chewing on his bones. He loves comfy beds and tons of blankets to snuggle into! Willie LOVES going on walks and running around the backyard. He is so silly and quirky and has an infectious personality.

While he was previously fine with other animals, Willie has become reactive over time so he'd best as an only pet with adults only. He also MUST go to a home with a fenced yard. Adopters with dog experience are highly preferred and further training is encouraged.

His adoption fee is $350 and Willie is vaccinated, microchipped, neutered and heartworm negative. If you are interested in this gorgeous guy, please complete the application at form.jotform.com/200883908893166. For questions, email info@happilyfureverafter.org.
