PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW BEFORE YOU RESPOND.
It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life.
KAIDOU, 4 kittens and 2 older cat relatives were living in a tough area in Baldwin Park, California. These poor babies were living in someone's yard in the heat. The rescue mama happened to look on Facebook one day and saw the video of one of KAIDOU's possible nephews being chased by a coyote, Needless to say, the rescue mama set course the next day to pick them all up.
So KAIDOU (named after the anime: ONE PIECE) has been a Tom cat for all his life. He was quite the tough guy when we got him. But the beautiful lady that was feeding them had taught him that humans were good. Our boy came here and has had a tough time. He tested positive for FELV but, we had a IFA test sent out and he is NEGATIVE. Then at his final check up, they discovered he had a lump on his throat. We had it removed and sent out to be biopsied. It was negative for cancer. So NOW he's ready for a real home.
KAIDOU does love his can food. He will stare and lick his lips waiting for his can food. He is a very sweet, loving young male. Loves to look out the window. All he wants is to be loved. And he is a very big boy!! Tall and solid. He's looking to be someone's lap cat, cuddle buddy...best friend! He would do fine with another cat or to be the KING of his home.
KAIDOU is DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / SIAMESE LYNX POINT MIX. He is about 3 years old and is good with cats. He has never been around young children or dogs. It probably would not be a good idea for a dog in his life since he was chased by coyotes.
KAIDOU is currently at PETSMART in Murrieta, California off Madison Avenue.
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT)
2. Fill Out Online Form
3. Submit Online Application
4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview
5. Will be notified of Approved Application
6. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED)
7. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty
8. Sign Adoption Contract
9. Pay Adoption Fee (VENMO - ZELLE - PAYPAL or CASH)
10. Take the Kitty Home

SEPTEMBER 2023: VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees.
Volunteers are usually at PetSmart between 9 am to 1 pm for cleaning. The cats currently at PETSMART you are allowed to go visit. A good time to come visit is between 4 pm - 9 pm. The VOLUNTEERS are only there in the evening for 3 hours so please call the PetSmart location or visit the cattery for VISITING HOURS. Most days are different 3 hour shifts. It's based on volunteer availability.
The kitties at a foster/rescue homes, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below.

The crazy rescue mama will drive kitties to their new home, meet & greets, etc...once the adoption interview and home check have been done.. Gas donations always appreciated!

If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets.
Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption.
We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. If we haven't reached out....be patient.

The adoption fee of $250 covers:

We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens. So, we do not do DISCOUNTS.
