Here's what the humans have to say about me:
His name means "Blessed" in German. He is stunning, absolutely gorgeous.
Originally he was given to a family who just didn't have enough time at home to raise a puppy or vet him or be with him. He was kept home alone most of the time in a bedroom. He was taught nothing while he was with them, not even to learn to walk on a leash. He has come a very long way in the past three months we had him. He is SUPER SMART. Learns fast, he's going to be a big boy though. He is growing like a weed. He's very loyal and sweet, super needy though and really his name should be "Velcro". He's a lover.
Ben has had some training, travels in the car well, he knows basic commands and walks great on a leash. He fetches like crazy. He's been around a horse and he's fine with the horse. Not been around other dogs or cats enough and the few he has been with .......if they are calm, he seems to be okay, if they are a reactive or scared dog, he emulates their immediate behavior, so for now, we know he'd be best in a home with no other dogs or cats. He's loyal to the core to people, LOVES PEOPLE.
We do need a home where someone is home for him, a pet parent who is working from home or has enough people in the house that can be with him and have a BIG fenced yard or a home on acreage . He's a year old, he and will be a big boy and needs a lot of time, room to run, attention and with an experienced dog owner. Once he's settled, he will be amazing. He goes belly up around people, he just wants to be with his humans, constantly. He'd be an amazing dog on a farm with horses or cows. Or with a family on some property.
A fenced yard is a must or a yard with an invisible fence would work for him. He loves attention and kisses and will return the love to you as well. He's a fast learner. He does seem to have anxiety if we leave him because he was so lonely and uncared for at his previous living situation. He needs a lot of exercise and walks and loves to run and play in a yard. He definitely needs an experienced person to be his people. We have an awesome trainer and we were told he wasn't house broken, but he is, all you have to do is take him out often and he's great with going potty outside. He rides well in the car.
