My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ginger 6704
Our very own Humane Society “Best of the Competition” dancer is admiringly called Ginger, although her full name is actually Ginger Rogers. She is a patient, easy-going canine who doesn’t mind the foreshortened version of her name. The photographer was awarded the opportunity to share one-on-one time with Ginger in the bark park adventure. Her physical beauty is wonderfully complimented with her athletic prowess and her joy of life frolic. There were literally dozens of calendar quality photos of her canine dances as she gracefully pirouetted, stood on her hind legs, twirled, floated, and gracefully leaped high in an airborne pursuit of her favorite bark park ample bodied squeaky, the cute, willing, and venerable, but tough as nails croquette volunteering Hedgehog of Alice in Wonderland fame. The human watched with utter amazement as his canine friend “flew by” with her air foil arms outstretched in a reenactment of the flight of a Boing 737. She was paying tribute to her role model Ginger Rogers who was most famous for introducing elegant and elusive dance routines that had never been seen before. 30 minutes later, the totally intact Hedgehog was still squeaking invitingly as Ginger carried it about in the bark park, treating it with amazingly gentle and empathic compassion. Ginger then paused and lovingly caried her bark pal over to the photographer and laid down as she honored her new friend. A few more trips about the park and she let the toy relax as Ginger posed with the most undeniably proud posture that the park has ever seen.

9-month-old Ginger Rogers plays courteously with other canines, performs a requested sit and is totally house trained. When you walk past her kennel and she looks up at you with her adoring, appreciative eyes, you are instructed to pause and return the feeling that is now in your heart.
