My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cara came in with her sister,Ruby. They were originally surrendered by their owner to a cat rescue so they have had positive interactions with cats and should do fine with them. The cat rescue couldn't keep them so they asked if we could take them and find them homes. We were told that they were born on 11/1/22 so they are still puppies and need to learn pretty much everything. They are not yet housebroken or crate trained and they do not know anything about a leash yet. They are both very friendly but shy and submissive. They love the company of others but could benefit from further socialization and outings to get them comfortable in new places and around people and things that they may not be familiar with. They want to play and are typical puppies in that respect. Cara is a gorgeous fawn/blue color and is definitely a looker! Ruby looks more like a boxer and is also a gorgeous girl! Both girls could benefit from obedience and manners training (either doing it yourself or taking them to classes) to help them grow up to be the absolute best dogs that they can be. If you enjoy a fun dog and don't mind putting in the effort with training of a puppy and all that goes along with a puppy, one of these little beauties may be the right fit for your family! Cara saw the vet on 2/28/23 and was found to have some skin dermatitis, unknown cause. She is being treated with cefpodoxime proxetil for 2 weeks but can go home (with whatever medication she has remaining) should someone want to adopt her before treatment is concluded. She tested negative on her fecal and is still too young for a heartworm test however, she has started on Simparica Trio for heartworm prevention and flea control. She weighed 26.8 pounds as of 2/28/23. Cara is a healthy happy girl ready to find her forever home.
If interested in giving Cara her forever home, please submit your interest and your adoption application via email or text ONLY to 352-215-3260 (phone calls will not be answered or returned from this number). Cara's adoption fee will be $175 to help cover the cost of her vetting and daily care while with us.
