My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chance was pulled from a local shelter where he ended up after being found weaving through traffic on a busy road.

Chance is around 9 years old. His breed mix? I originally was thinking Shar Pei mix? Maybe a Bull Terrier mix? He is so unique looking!

Chance is neutered, up to date on vaccines, 4DX tested negative, and flea treated.

Chance is good with dogs and cats, but does exhibit resource guarding behaviors so giving dinner and high value items would be recommended in a separate space. We would not recommend a home with small children.

Chance is also hesitant with strangers, but does great with proper introductions and will climb right into your lap for a snuggle once he knows you.

Chance is adoptable through Appalachian Peace Paws, adoption applications can be filled out at appalachianpeacepaws.org/adopt

Additional adoption info

We do reference checks, landlord checks (if applicable), and veterinary reference checks as a part of the application.
Animals will not be adopted out before they are spayed/neutered, they can be preadopted though!

More about this rescue

We are a small rescue group based out of Morgantown WV. Our goals are to educate the public on the importance of spay/neuter and to reduce the number of community cats through our TNR program.
