Good with dogs: Yes! As always, a slow introduction is required with every introduction.
Good with cats: Yes! He showed no reaction to cats and would do well in a dog savvy cat home.
Good with kids: Yes! We feel he would do best in a home with older kids, maybe 8-10 years old, as he is a herding dog. If you have experience with this breed, younger kids would be fine too! As always adult supervision is always required when kids are present!
House trained: Yes! He will just need time to adjust to your routine!
Crate trained: Murphy has crate aversion, but he will load up and once in his crate he does well in there.

Meet Murphy!
Murphy is an approximately 2-3 year old old Border Collie/Black Coat Aussie mix cattle dog. He found himself at a very high kill shelter in GA. He waited a while for someone to claim or adopt him and no one came for him. The shelter said his time was up, they were at capacity. Murphy was saved right before his fate was sealed....
What can we say about this brown eyed cutie? Murphy is well mannered and knows his commands fairly well. He can be a bit stubborn but is treat driven. His herd drive is strong! Murphy has a lot of energy and will need lots of exercise. He will want you to give him a job to do! Murphy will need a little leash work, but he does tend to settle down with exercise. He is super sweet and cuddly and LOVES to ride in the car - he's up for adventuring! He is super smart and very treat motivated. This boy LOVES to play and really loves to play with balls, he really just wants to please you!
Murphy is very loveable and looking to find his forever homes! He does enjoy cuddling in bed and on the couch- so if you’re not into dogs on the fur-niture, he won’t be your best match.

The adoption fee is $500.
All of our animals are fully vetted before going to their furever homes. They are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, dewormed, up to date on flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention, and microchipped!
Please Note: All animals are posted until they are officially adopted. This animal may have other interested adopters in line.
We are very quick to respond and process applications! You will be required to provide 2 non family personal references, a home video tour and a vet reference if you’ve previously had animals. Please feel free to send video to our email or facebook upon submitting an application, this lets us know you are serious and ready but also helps us to get you approved quickly. We will text and or call upon receiving your application to schedule a phone interview.
You must be an approved adopter in order to go on meet and greets. This saves everyone’s time- especially our gracious foster families! This also allows for you to take the animals home from the meet and greet if you so choose.
