My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zaza is 5 years old, weighs 70lbs, is up to date on his vaccines, but is neither neutered not microchipped.  He knows sit, paw, down, and off.  He has spent time in doggie daycare and has made friends.  He likes riding in the car.  He doesn't like the vacuum, getting a bath, or nail trimming.  Zaza eats grain-free dog food, but no chicken.  Zaza's guardian further states:  " He’s very affectionate and always wants to cuddle and be close to people.   He’s playful at times but for the most part he’s a very chill dog.   I work 8 hours a day where zaza stays home by himself.   I take him to daycare every once in a while where he interacts with other dogs and he’s always done great.   He gets along with all friends/family/neighbors."

Zaza's guardian explains why she is rehoming him:  " It’s unfortunate I can’t keep him where I’m relocating but I want to find him a loving home where he’ll be well taken care of.  I’m sure he will be loved and adored because he’s a very sweet boy."

Zaza's guardian provides a brief medical history:  " Zaza is currently on Apoquel.  He takes one pill daily.  T he medicine does resolve the problem.  Besides that, I feed him grain free food and he can’t have any human foods or he gets rashes under his arms and irritations in his ears."

Zaza's guardian states the following about children:  Zaza has not lived with or otherwise been around children, so his guardian doesn't recommend his living with children.

Zaza's guardian states the following about dogs:  Zaza doesn't live with a dog, but his guardian recommends his living with dogs, stating "He does well with other dogs.  He's been to daycare and socialized with numerous dogs and did very well."

Zaza's guardian states the following about cats:  Zaza hasn't lived with or otherwise been around cats, so his guardian doesn't recommend his living with cats.

Zaza's guardian describes him as:

Couch potato
Friendly
Likes to be touched
Affectionate
Protective
House-Trained
Crate-Trained
Likes men
Likes women

Zaza's guardian describes his future ideal home:  " Zaza would benefit from having a home with a fenced yard so he can run around and have room.   He needs someone that has more time to dedicate to him and give attention."

Rehoming Fee:  None

Location:  Elkridge, MD

More about this rescue

Rescue Well was founded by Christine Sandberg in Baltimore, Maryland in 2011. Since its launch, it’s grown from offering post-adoption support to the city shelter, to offering several programs across Maryland, Washington, DC, and Northern Virginia. Our Programs focus on improving the lives of both pets and its owners. We proudly serve without judgment or expectations and we strictly follow our Rescue Well Engagement Model: ENGAGE > EDUCATE > EMPOWER.

Our organization’s programs are run by volunteers who are actively engaged in front-line intervention, community support, shelter support, and re-homing services for all pets.
