Coda is in need of a new home because she is no longer getting along with her canine housemate and has begun fighting with her. This is a heartbreaking time for her family as she has been a part of the family for 6 years, after adopting her from a local shelter.

She has been designated as a Potentially Dangerous Dog in Howard County, Maryland after an incident with a neighbor's dog:

We recently moved into a new house. The backyard was clear but a neighbor brought their dog to the edge of our property. The neighbor's dog made the initial lunge and attacked my dogs. There was a fight that was promptly broken up by myself. My dogs received puncture wounds as well as the other dog. The neighbors called animal control. My dogs received a "Potentially Dangerous" declaration from Howard County even though the neighbor's dog initiated the attack and may have initiated it on my property.

She has lived in a home with a 3 year old child.

She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and she is house-trained and crate-trained.

Coda is further described by her current family as:  Couch potato
Playful
Likes to be touched
Affectionate
Indoor dog
Outdoor dog
House-Trained
Crate-Trained
Likes men
Likes women

When unattended she stays:

In our house or if we  are  home she enjoys being outsie in our fenced backyard.

Dislikes: Thunderstorms but only if she sees our other dog nervous. On her own she's ok.

Also:

Coda  has received weeks of specialized obedience training from Dog House Girls in Baltimore. She knows commands, "come", "sit", "place" (for staying in one place until called".

History with dogs:

She tends to be territorial and will bark at them. However, she has not bitten another dog before. Sometimes she tries to sniff the other dog.

History with cats:
none

Ideal new forever home:

A new home with a fenced in yard without other pets with adults in the household.

Rehoming Fee: $0

Location: Elkridge, Maryland
