My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to Maldonado, a charming two-year-old sweetheart searching for a loving home! He recently went Dog for a Day, and if you are looking for a gentle giant type, he is your dog! During his day out, he met a 17 year old blind dog on a walk and Maldonado could not have been sweeter when he greeted him - very calm, gentle and respectful. He is totally non-reactive to people and other dogs, and was so calm and perfect on the patio - people and dogs would walk right by him and he was totally chill. Life has been really difficult for Maldonado- he came into the shelter as a court case and sat in the shelter for months before his case was resolved, which means he is now was able to be adopted. As a result he has been at the shelter for more than a year.

Maldonado is about three years old, 70 pounds, dog friendly, he completely avoided my cat when he met him, and he absolutely loves playing in the water so he is ready for a summer at the beach or lake! He would love to have a quiet home where he can come out of his shell and where he can enjoy non-stop belly rub sessions. Maldonado is an incredibly sweet and loving dog who would flourish in a loving home. Be the one to offer him a haven of love and watch him bloom!
