My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Nyra,
If you are looking for a happy go lucky pup then look no further. Nyra is a beautiful 15 month old pure bred Australian Shepherd who is full of energy and loves people. She is a 54 lb baby (or at least acts like it) who is always on the go. She loves water and would spend most of her day swimming, playing in the creek or with the water hose.

She does well with other dogs, but can be a little nippy and doesn’t know her boundaries. She would do best with a submissive dog sibling who has lots of patience. Nyra however is not a fan of small animals and should not be in a home with small pets.

She is mostly house trained and has an occasional accident if you don’t pay attention. She usually goes to the door and has started using a bell to let us know she needs to go out. She is crate trained, knows sit, down, place and paw. Nyra is young and still learning so she will need a home with someone who is willing to continue her training and a family who is very active. Someone that is familiar with the breed is preferred. Nyra is a good girl who just needs direction.

She will make a great family member, but could have too much energy for small children, so children over 8 years of age is preferred.

Nyra loves plopping down on you for cuddles and scratches and loves to go for car rides. She also loves playing ball, so she needs a large fenced in yard of her own to run and romp in. Since she can be nippy, so no dog parks.

Nyra is up to date on her vaccines, spayed, microchipped and on heartworm and flea and tick prevention. A meet and greet with any potential adopter is required.

If you think you could provide a great home for Nyra then please fill out an application.
