My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Molly is a 2 year old, red tri, female Aussie/North American Shepherd mix that is about 30 pounds. She was surrendered back to us because she nipped a 4 year old child and needs an adult only home with the ability to put her away if children visit. (We suspect she will be fine with calm kids). Molly is very sweet and affectionate with her person but she doesn't give that love to just anyone. She appreciates a slow introduction to strangers but hasn't shown any aggression, just a lot of barking. Molly knows quite a few of her toy names, is content to sleep under the desk while you are working, is good with car rides and likes to meet and make friends with other dogs on walks. She is energetic and loves to wrestle with the other dogs in the home. We were told that Molly had a strong preference for women but what we found out is that she is smart and manipulative and if you don't believe her mock outrage about men she likes them just fine 😆. Molly is currently living with multiple other dogs, cats, and boys age 15 to adult. She has handled the foster homes college age son coming home just fine.
All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers. We need an approved application on file to set up a meeting with a dog you might be interested in. You can find our application at www.aussierescuemn.com All dogs have an adoption fee of $300 plus MN sales tax. We pride ourselves on matches that are awesome for both the dog and your family. Aussie Rescue of MN is here for support, advice and as a safety net for our dogs for the rest of their lives.
