My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You'll never be lonely with Cal around your house. This 11 mos. old boy arrived as a stray at a local shelter. Upon arriving in his foster home, he immediately made myself at home. He walked out of the carrier, with tail held high, checked things out, nibbled on some food and quickly settled into his foster mom's lap. He is very dog-like. Wherever you are he likes to be there with you. Getting up from your desk to grab lunch.. so is Cal. Settling in to watch the evening news, Cal loves to keep up on current events also. Want to just be lazy and read in bed…so does Cal. Had to go in the office for the day? Cal will joyfully welcome you home and patiently listen to your day’s trouble while you prepare his dinner. All he asks is for you to toss his toys around and he will expertly catch them in midair...he is quite athletic and loves to jump! Cal is not demanding but very curious about what you are doing and wants to do it too. His foster mom thinks he should be renamed Romeo because he is such a sweet boy who likes to sit close for head rubs and cuddles. He really enjoys, and needs, the company of another cat. We don't know for sure whether he would be OK with a dog, but based on his playful and easygoing purrsonality, it is likely he would do well with proper introduction. We do know he is eager for a home where he'll give and get a lot of love. Cal has a food allergy and needs to be on a novel protein over-the-counter diet. We think he's worth the extra effort ! Microchipped. Meet him in Arlington, VA. Updated 6/15/23
