My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Look deep into my eyes human and take me home! Did it work? Were you hypnotized, will you take me home?

Hi, I'm Mike! I love to chat and receive lots of head pats. My favorite time is lunchtime, because that's when I get the most attention! I would love to live somewhere that will give me as much affection as possible. I will weave between your legs and make conversation with you when I want some love, so stay on your toes! I can't wait to meet my forever family. I promise I will be the best kitty you've ever had! Oh and if you'd like to adopt a pair of FeLV kitties I am a-okay with that! I get along just fine with all of roommates.

Mike is an amazing cat! He loves human interaction and is a real snuggler.
Mike is FeLV+. He must be your only cat or live with other FeLV+ kitties. We place our FeLV+ cats as a foster. You provide a loving home and we remain in charge of the cat's medical care including covering all medical expenses.

More about this shelter

The Cat Welfare Association was founded in 1945 by a small group of people who saw the need for an organization designed specifically to help the many stray and abused cats in the Columbus area. We are a non-profit organization with the mission of promoting better care and understanding of cats while providing for the physical welfare of homeless cats and kittens.

The cats taken into our care are strays and frequently have been abused or injured. We give them plenty of tender loving care along with any necessary medical treatment they might need. Our shelter provides a home for these cats and kittens until they are adopted-- whether it be for a short time or if they live out their lives here.
