Seven's story began with a tragic accident, as she found herself injured after escaping living on a chain in a backyard to be hit by a car. Fortunately, a compassionate witness rushed her to the emergency vet. From there, Seven found her way to the Arizona Humane Society, where she faced the daunting prospect of euthanasia due to her severe injury and perceived incompatibility with other dogs.
Thankfully, Angels for Paws intervened, offering Seven a lifeline and a second chance at life. Recognizing her potential for a fulfilling future, we sought the expertise of an orthopedic surgeon to assess her options. Despite the daunting choices ahead, they decided that amputation offered Seven the best chance at a pain-free and mobile life.
Since her successful surgery, Seven has thrived and adapted with remarkable resilience. Her three-legged gait hasn't slowed her down; she bounds joyfully, embracing each day enthusiastically and with zest. Whether she's zooming around the yard or cozying up on the couch for a nap, Seven approaches life with unwavering optimism and a contagious spirit.
While Seven may prefer to be the only dog in the household, she adores humans of all ages and forms strong bonds with her caregivers. She is crate-trained and potty-trained, making her transition into her forever home seamless.
