ZARA is being fostered in SALEM, OH. She is fully vetted including spay/ microchip/ rabies/ Bordetella/ DHPP/ microchip/rabies/worming/heartworm Lyme test/heartworm-flea prevention while in rescue.
We do not ship dogs, we do not transport dogs, we do not hold dogs. You must be ready to adopt within 72 hours upon approval.

**BIG PUPPY LOVE ALERT**
I will start by telling you that I am only about 1 yr old and weigh 40 lbs. NOW, if you have a couch potato/low energy/12 cheeseburger eatin kind of lifestyle I am NOT the girl for you!! I LOVE activity!! I am looking for a running/ball chasing/exciting lifestyle. I can play with toys and run for as long as I am permitted! I am dog friendly but, in my eagerness, to play I don't always pick up on cues from other dogs and will continue to try to play even when one of my foster dog siblings gives signs that they are done playing. So, if another dog(s) is going to be part of my pack, he/she must be either willing to play nonstop or able to let me know (without being aggressive) that playtime is over. As you can see in my video and picture, my foster doggie siblings and I are having an absolute BLAST together!! I LOVE kids because we share the same energy level!! We both love to play til we drop and then nap til it's time to play again. Foster mom is quite impressed that I learned how to "sit" quickly. What she doesn't realize is that I only did it because she had a tasty treat in her hand! No one really knows my background story, simply that I was a stray. However, I am a bit "head shy" and cower quickly when correction is given. That leads everyone to believe that I may have had a "not so good" start in life. But my zest for fun and love will get me thru my past. I have yet to meet a person that I do not like and warm up really quickly in an attempt to make as many friends as possible! I do enjoy car rides and just marvel at the idea of "loading up" into a vehicle at one location and then when "unloading" I find myself at a completely different place! But I love it because new places mean new adventures. I am a fast eater, so foster mom recommends a slow feed bowl when feeding me. I walk ok on a leash as long as a harness is used. Foster mom feels that I would benefit from some basic puppy classes since it is apparent that I have had zero training or guidance up to this point. Classes would also supply my new family and me with some sweet bonding time! My potty habits are a work in progress....I am only a year old so with time, patience and consistency I'm certain we can work on it together. BONUS, I am crate trained (thanks to foster mom!) and sometimes when I want to get away from any human drama, I will go in my "condo" all on my own. Although I am 40 lbs, I still consider myself small enough to be a lap dog. I am one of the lucky ones that has a nice foster home, but I am ready for my very own family now. So, if you are looking for a 4-legged family member that is able to keep up with your high energy lifestyle yet curl up on the sofa with you (not to mention is also extremely gorgeous!), then complete an application so we can meet up!! love, zara
