Hey there, my name is Tig! I'm a one-year-old lab mix who came to Stray Haven as a stray through Dog Control. I'm a good boy overall, but I have some trust issues due to my past experiences. I don't like my head being touched or restrained too much, but a staff member here has been working with me on it and teaching me that no one will hurt me. I'm learning to trust people more every day.
The scars on my nose suggest that I may have been locked away in a cage for most of my life, trying to break free. But luckily, I managed to escape and find my way to Stray Haven where I'm now safe and loved.
I'm looking for a forever family who will treat me like a member of their own. If you think you can provide me with the love and patience I need to continue to grow and learn, please come down to the shelter and meet me. The staff here can answer any questions you may have about me. Stray Haven Humane Society & SPCA 194 Shepard Rd., Waverly, NY 14892 (607) 565-2859, www.strayhavenspca.org Open hours: Tuesday-Friday 10am-5pm Saturday-Sunday 10am-4pm Closed on Mondays
