Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Put me in coach....I'm ready to play (ba ba bum) the game!
My name is Carrie! I'm in my prime at 2 years old and weigh in at 55 pounds. I thought I was on a losing streak when I found myself in one of the worse shelters in the state! My owner got locked up and so did I but like Hillary Swank in "Million Dollar Baby" ... I rose up! I overcame! Think of ADA as my Clint Eastwood. They got me out of that shelter. They gave me a fighting chance! And now I am a superstar!
I'm smart, full of life and ready to play ball! Seriously, I want to chase balls and frisbees and cats (too much!) My foster mom loves trying to teach me to give the ball back to her. She's my coach. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. I'm looking to join a team that is committed to my training and will help me be my best. A career in sports, agility or hiking might be right up my alley but when I earn the love of a forever family, I'll be a true winner! Can you help me find them? Game on!
Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
