Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bonnie Marie is a beautiful 2-1/2 year old female Pit Bull Terrier mix who was surrendered by her owner on March 21, 2023 along with Bonnie's best friend (Myla May) because she was no longer in a position to give them the care and love that they needed and deserved.
Bonnie Marie has a brown/brindle-and-white short smooth coat, a long tail, and an adorable 'phantom-of-the-opera' face with brindle markings on the right-hand side of her face, a milk chocolate nose, and short semi-erect ears.
Her owner told us that Bonnie was good with children and also with other animals. We don't know if that includes cats as well as dogs since that was not specified.
Bonnie has been kept indoors and is housebroken.
Bonnie weighs 46.6 lbs and is energetic on a leash.
These photos were taken shortly after Bonnie & Myla May's arrival and, since they didn't want to be separated, our HSOV Kennel Manager Rachal Merrow and our HSOV Assistant Manager Kati Rankin teamed up to take the girls out as a pair for their photo sessions.
Bonnie has a happy, outgoing personality and was a social butterfly while Rachal helped her pose for pictures. Bonnie was interested in watching dogs being walked in the distance and couldn't understand why she couldn't join in the fun.
Bonnie & Myla will be spayed before being adopted by their new family. These girls are very attached to each other, so we feel that it would be in their best interest to find another home together.
Our volunteers have learned that Bonnie is an accomplished ball player when she and Myla are in our play yards (together of course) .. And Myla is the self-appointed cheerleader since she is content to relax and watch Bonnie play ball.
UPDATE: Bonnie was spayed on June 22, 2023 and was also given rabies vaccine.
