My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

SCOUT (ADOPTED)

We don't want to say that Scout is the perfect Lab... but Mom taught us not to lie!!

Scout's foster mom says there is not one negative thing to say about Scout! He is happy, easy going and friendly. A total love bug, who enjoys hanging out with you, whatever you are doing.

Scout is about 1 1/2 to 2 years old. He is a medium sized Lab, at about 76 pounds, which is a good weight for him. He is crate trained and house broken.

Scout is pretty calm and well behaved for such a young Lab. In the house, he loves to lay on the couch with you. Outside, he romps and plays chase with the other foster dogs in his home. He is only mildly curious about the dog-savvy cats in his foster home. They don't run and he doesn't chase or bother them. Scout is a big boy. He would love a couple of kids over the age of about 8 years to play with. He will need a nice sized, fenced yard for play time.

We thought we had a perfect home for Scout and he went for a trial adoption. Unfortunately, he and the young male dog in the home did not get along very well after a few weeks. Just to be really safe, we are looking for a home with either no other dogs or only female dogs.

Scout is very healthy, with bright eyes and a super shiny coat. Scout is neutered, on heartworm prevention, microchipped and vaccinated.

If you live in the DFW area and are interested in adopting Scout, please see our web site for information about our adoption process. Our adoption fee is $295. www.LoneStarLabRescue.org
