Sweet Ethel is an adorable, small shepherd and terrier mix. She’s only maybe 2 years old, but looks older because an eye injury scarred over one eye. She has no trouble getting around, and no issues with the eye, it’s just unusual. Otherwise she’s got a shiny beautiful coat now and is just a pretty girl!
PPRI is a non profit rescue and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. Please visit us on Facebook: Precious Paws INC and our website PreciouspawsrescueAL.com. All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the New England area and Delivered in RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. Price includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 100 dollar deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. The remainder of the fee is due at the time of pick up. Naturally the 100 dollars comes off the total owed at pick up. It will be refunded if for any reason you do not want to adopt, unless the transport has already left with the animal.
Ethel came from a horrible hoarding situation! One of the worst our rescue has ever seen. Many of the neighbors shot at and otherwise injured these dogs, and this could be what happened to Ethel’s eye. Poor girl was scared of everyone when we first got her, but now she’s a doll that follows us everywhere and loves to be petted and snuggled.
Ethel does fine with kids, cats, and other dogs. She likes things to be kind of chill, and would really enjoy a friend who wants to snuggle on the couch and binge Netflix or go for walks!
Ethel is heartworm positive but PLEASE don’t stop reading there - we are already treating her, and with regular monthly heartworm prevention medication, she will be clear soon!
Ethel would love a best friend or family of her own. She’s one of our favorites - loyal, affectionate, house-trained, well-behaved, gentle. We could just go on and on about this wonderful girl!
