My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Taylor is a beautiful tall female. She is high energy high drive. She is good with dogs and takes a little to warm up with people but will be good after introduction. She really needs someone who will want to provide enough physical and mental exercise. Taylor will also need someone willing to work with her separation anxiety which is something we will guide you through our training program which is part of the adoption. Taylor would be a great companion for someone who likes running and hiking. She is also for someone who would like teach her and train with her with activities because of her drive.May 7, 2024, 5:03 am

Additional adoption info

If we are adopting out a dog who has been trained the adopter must agree to one training session the day they adopt the dog (coming home). If we decide additional training sessions will be needed we will advise the adopter prior to adoption.

More about this rescue

We are a veteran-run dog rescue based in San Diego, California. Our goal is to change the rescue world. We adopt our dogs to any loving and qualified homes, but we also provide ESAs for military veterans. With The Heroic Tail’s model, we are not only able to rescue dogs from high-kill shelters who happen to be at the wrong place at the wrong time, but we are also able to help the dogs deemed “unadoptable” and give them a better chance at a happy and healthy life!
