My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please contact Lisa (springstormcat@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.

Diamond is a beautiful, reserved little girl.  She started life in an outdoor colony with her siblings, Graycie & Bert.  She loves to play with the laser pointer and strings.  Diamond also loves to spend time on my screened-in porch watching squirrels and lizards.  Foster mommy has to remind her that climbing on the screens while hunting lizards is a no-no, even though it is so darn cute!  Must be adopted with Graycie.

She loves dinner time and will reward you with tiny mews and a tail rub against your legs, inviting your touch on her back, when you put food in her bowl.
Diamond will need much patience, gentleness and 100% true love from her forever home.  It will take her time to get comfortable with new surroundings and humans.  Once she does, she will be a wonderful companion.  I do not anticipate that she will do well with young children or with dogs that are not gentle souls.

Follow Diamond on IG at springstorm88_ while I continue to earn her trust, love and purrs!  Meow!

Some of our cats ready for adoption can be seen at the following Adoption Center locations:

PetSmart, located at 12835 Citrus Park Dr across from the Citrus Park Mall. Our volunteers are onsite for adoptions Saturday and Sunday from 12:00pm to 5:00pm and will be happy to assist you with finding the perfect feline companion. PetSmart management can assist with an adoption during other days/hours, time permitting. Cats are onsite 7 days a week.

PetSmart, located at 11331 Causeway Blvd in Brandon. Cats and adoption counselors are onsite for adoptions Saturday from 11:00am to 3:00pm and Sunday from 12:00pm to 2:30pm only.

Petco, located at 13127 N Dale Mabry Hwy. Cats and adoption counselors are onsite Saturdays from 11:00am to 4:00pm only.

We have many more cats than the ones housed at our Adoption Center locations. Our cats live with foster families until they are ready for adoption and space is available at an Adoption Center. If a cat is located in a foster home and the foster has provided contact information, you can get more details on a particular cat directly from them.

More about this rescue

St. Francis Society Animal Rescue is an all volunteer, non-profit 501-c-3 animal rescue organization dedicated to saving the lives of sick, injured, and stray domestic animals as well as spay/neuter and medical services for those animals. We seek to place animals in a loving foster or permanent home after recovery and we DO NOT euthanize unless terminal illness necessitates such a decision. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, tested for leukemia/FIV (cats), wormed and vaccinated before they are adopted.
