Suki is a long-haired husky mix and there is no other way to describe her but gorgeous! She is an energetic and sweet girl. She loves long walks, car rides, and running around out in the yard. She knows basic commands and responds well to positive verbal and treat reinforcement. She adores people from children to adults and is very affectionate, loving, and gentle with everyone.
She cannot be trusted off-leash because her drive to run is so strong – she will just keep going and not look back. She does walk well on a leash – but will pull a bit at the beginning until she realizes we will not be running. Like all Huskies, she is a notorious escape artist and will jump over fences under 6’ or dig under them. Suki has gotten out of the yard before and it took some time (and some treats) to get her back. She is not a dog that you can leave out in a yard unattended all day long. Another Husky trait that Suki will do is talk. She has perfect timing at practicing this skill while you are on the phone or during an online meeting – mainly because she wants your attention. She gets along with other dogs and even cats – as long as the cats belong in the household and the other dogs let her be the queen. She is also crate trained!
Suki would be a good fit for a family with a large fenced-in yard for her to explore, or with an active owner that will take her for long walks or runs. If you are looking for a medium-energy girl with stunning beauty and a loving temperament, Suki is your girl.
