My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Due to recently losing my job and health issues, it is imperative I find Nico another forever home! Nico is now overdue for his annual exam and vaccinations. My priority is to make sure he is fed at this point. I don't want to take him to a shelter to be killed.

Nico is a sweet and loving 4-year-old Chihuahua mix who I rescued from the streets in January of 2021. He was malnourished and injured from an unknown animal attack when I found him. He is now a very hyper, happy dog and loves walks. He is very smart and knows how to make his needs known! He loves big, fluffy dog beds and toys he can chew up and tear apart. Nico loves constant affection and is very loyal. He is very protective of his people and will nip at people he does not know. Nico would benefit if he were in a home where someone is always present as he has significant separation anxiety. I believe whoever had him originally may have been abusive. He is house trained and benefits from regular and consistent grooming.
