Patches is a 4 1/2 year old female chihuahua that was recently surrendered to Chi Town Rescue along with two other dogs because her owner had health problems and too many dogs to care for. Patches is the shyest of the three and has been pretty scared because she's not in the home she's always known. Her two companions were recently adopted and now it's her turn to go home. She is starting to come out of her shell slowly and is starting to come up and greet us and give licks. You can see by the picture that she lets the Chi Town volunteers pick her up and give her some love and pets. Patches will need an adopter that understands that it is going to take time to warm up to a new owner and trust them. Patches would do better in a home with no small children. If you think you could give Patches the time and patience she needs, please contact the rescue to make an appointment for a meet and greet. Patches is spayed, has a microchip and is current on her vaccines.
