Meet Spunky! Spunky is aptly named, because this friendly fella is full of spunky joy, even despite his sad circumstances. Spunky came to Chi Town rescue when his owner unexpectedly passed away. He was clearly well-loved and reportedly went everywhere with his former owner. Spunky is hoping to find a family that will continue his life of love and adventure. Spunky will be your best bud and is very friendly and outgoing. He enjoys meeting new people and is always happy for pets and attention. He loves lap time and soaking up all the pets you're willing to give. Spunky walks well on leash and he absolutely loves walks. He can be dog selective so if you have any other dogs at home, it would be good for Spunky to meet the entire family. Spunky is a well-rounded gentleman, approximately nine years old. He would fit into a variety of different family situations... maybe even YOURS?

Adoption fees are dependent on the age and breed of the animal as well as monthly or seasonal promotions. Please inquire directly as to fee of any animal you're interested in. We do require meet & greets and adopter to be present in person and provide valid id.

More about this rescue

"Chi Town" is short for "Chihuahua Town," which is our nick-name because we found that the majority of animals we were rescuing happened to be Chihuahuas and literally have a little “town” comprised of Chihuahuas! Chihuahuas are one of the most over-bred dogs in Arizona and unfortunately many end up in need of rescue. However, we are not limited to saving just Chihuahas, we do save other breeds dependent on availability of space. Chi Town also specializes in rescuing dogs who require a little extra TLC and are at risk of euthanasia at county shelters. These dogs may not be doing well for a variety of reasons- fear, fear aggression, anxiety, or a medical issue to name a few. These are the dogs that typically have no other outlet and for which time is of the essence . After our dogs are medically cleared and/or their behavioral issues have improved, they are available for adoption.

Please be aware that we do our very best to answer all questions in a timely manner.
