My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sky is a gentle soul. She's kind, affectionate and just wants to hang out. If she can't curl up on you, she's happy to curl up on her bed and relax. She's also quite the lady. Sky glides, she does not walk; Sky prances, she does not run. Although she's bright she can also be a space cadet and goofy, but can't we all!

House/Potty trained but still learning some basic commands. Sky sleeps in her crate all night. Sky is Approximately 5 years old and possibly a Red Heeler mix.

More about this rescue

PIPs key focus is dogs with special or medical needs (who we call Pip-abled), however, we have many non-PIP-abled dogs too! We made it easy to decipher PIP-abled verses non-PIP-able; simply look at each dogs picture and bio.

The Pioneers had a vision to take in the most urgent rescues no one else could which includes puppies, adult dogs, senior dogs, dogs with special needs and medical cases in and around North Carolina. Our main purpose is to rescue as many dogs in need as we can with a special focus on special needs.
