My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Boomer is a 3 year old neutered male, Border Collie/Aussie/Cattle Dog mix. He loves people, is crate trained, house trained, has basic obedience, and is good off leash. Boomer was only surrendered due to nipping at small kids. He likes the kids and is good with them unless they do dumb kid stuff and make him nervous. So he would be fine with kids in public just not living with the small ones. He has been in one great home since 8 weeks and has been well socialized and loved. Boomer is one of the Bandit pups from ARM. He is a gorgeous boy with a stable temperament and a lot of handler focus. We will give priority to an adopter that puts him to work (obedience/agility/etc). This is a great dog but he needs his mind used and adequate exercise to be content. Update: Boomer is such an awesome dog. Well behaved, likes people, good with cats, avoids all conflict with other dogs. His "adequate exercise" isn't really that much and since he reliably comes back when off leash and LOVES, LOVES, LOVES the game of fetch, he is easy to exercise. Honestly I have no idea why we still have this dog! He is so wonderful.
All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers. We need an approved application on file to set up a meeting with a dog you might be interested in. You can find our application at www.aussierescuemn.com All dogs have an adoption fee of $300 plus MN sales tax. We pride ourselves on matches that are awesome for both the dog and your family. Aussie Rescue of MN is here for support, advice and as a safety net for our dogs for the rest of their lives.
