Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi there, my name is Klaus and I am a handsome German Sheperd mix, about 2 years old and I weigh 58 lbs. I am currently a Texas dog with a tragic story… I was hit by a car with such force that it completely shattered my left front leg and left me with a large gaping wound on my right front leg. Thankfully I was picked up by San Marcos animal control, but I was in real danger of being euthanized. Bless my lucky stars when a dog rescue took me in and placed me with a medical foster mom who refused to give up on me. She nursed me back to health, had me vaccinated and neutered, and my wound is finally healed, but the vet had to amputate my shattered leg. At first, it was weird being a tripod, but us dogs are amazing! A few days later I was walking and running and jumping and playing like any other dog.
My foster mom says I am the absolute sweetest and silliest young gentleman, and not to toot my own horn, but she is right. I am very well-mannered, house-trained, and kennel trained, and I love to cuddle. I am friendly to all dogs and to every person I meet. I have never met a kitty cat, so I’m not sure how that would go. Otherwise, I am the perfect companion and would fit in easily to any home situation. Plus I am WAY more handsome in person!! I am healthy and happy and ready to find a forever family. I will be moving to the Northeast Coastal area on a rescue dog transport van that my foster dad will be driving. I’ll probably be riding right up front and getting loads of special attention and treats along the way and just a day or 2 later when we arrive, you and I will finally meet and the rest will be history!
