My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Echo!

Smart Active Eager to Please Cuddly

Echo is a remarkable black and white Great Dane! Her playfulness knows no bounds, making every day an adventure waiting to happen. Her joy is infectious and her eagerness to please is as boundless as her energy.

This sweet girl has mastered basic commands with many of the commands coming through physical touch. Her intelligence shines through, and it's a pleasure to watch her respond with precision.

Car rides are one of her favorite pastimes, as she anticipates new adventures. Echo has a soft spot for her toys, often piling them up in adorable displays of affection. When it's time to wind down, Echo is the queen of snuggles. Her loving presence brings comfort and warmth to any room she graces. She also enjoys running outdoors, going for leisurely walks, and embracing the beauty of the great outdoors. Her leash manners are impeccable, and she thrives under the positive reinforcement of a structured home life.

However, Echo's preference for undivided attention means she's not keen on spending time with other dogs. She's happiest when the spotlight is on her, and that's where she truly shines. The ideal environment for Echo is one without other dogs or cats, as she loves being the star of the show. In her forever home, a physical fence is a must, ensuring her safety and freedom to explore while only having vision in one eye.

Echo is an extraordinary dog, ready to offer her endless love and companionship to her forever family! Are you ready to bring Echo into your life and experience the boundless joy and love she has to offer?

More about this rescue

Upper Midwest Great Dane Rescue was started in 2008 by a group of Dane lovers who desire to help Danes in need. The rescue is made up of all volunteers who lovingly give of their time and money to help these wonderful dogs. Volunteers include people from every walk of life, all with one thing in common, love of Great Danes.

Each animal coming to the rescue is temperament tested, given a physical, vaccinated, wormed, checked for heartworm and tick borne illnesses and treated as needed. All dogs are sterilized before being re homed. The dog is then placed in a foster home to wait for someone to love it forever.
