My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Bryndle!

Active  Loves People  Playful  Sensitive

This enchanting brindle-coat Great Dane/Mix will make a remarkable companion who is as unique as her striking appearance. She's not just a dog; she's a daily source of joy, boundless energy, and a heart full of love.

Every day, she embarks on her grand adventure of logging at least 3 miles on her walks with her foster family. Her enthusiasm for exploration is infectious, and she's always ready for the next outdoor escapade. Whether it's a leisurely stroll or an energetic hike, her presence turns any walk into a delightful journey.

To bring out the best version of her, Bryndle requires gentle, positive reinforcement. She's an eager learner, and a bit of encouragement is all she needs to shine even brighter. Bryndlethrives on routine. Predictability and structure make her feel secure and content. She has met many new friends at the events she has attended and has loved soaking up all the attention!

She has done well sharing her home with the cats in her foster home. Bryndle would prefer to be the only dog in the house but might do well with a submissive male companion. She hasshown resource guarding when it comes to food and toys.

In her forever home, children should be 8+ years old and possess some dog experience. Her sensitivity extends to her feet and tail, and loud or stern voices can make her anxious. Thus, a calm home environment where her boundaries can be respected is her ideal sanctuary.

In terms of health, she's in excellent shape, with no known issues. She's a picture of vitality, ready to embark on countless adventures with her new family. She's a devoted people-pleaser, and her happiness is linked to the joy she brings her family.

A physical fence is a requirement, as it ensures her safety and provides a secure space for her to explore.

Be prepared to receive a lifetime of love and devotion once you bring her into your home! If you think you may be the adoptive home Bryndle is waiting for, please follow one of the steps below.

More about this rescue

Upper Midwest Great Dane Rescue was started in 2008 by a group of Dane lovers who desire to help Danes in need. The rescue is made up of all volunteers who lovingly give of their time and money to help these wonderful dogs. Volunteers include people from every walk of life, all with one thing in common, love of Great Danes.

Each animal coming to the rescue is temperament tested, given a physical, vaccinated, wormed, checked for heartworm and tick borne illnesses and treated as needed. All dogs are sterilized before being re homed. The dog is then placed in a foster home to wait for someone to love it forever.
