My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

,,,,,, My rescue is on the 2nd-3rd floors of my Pittsburgh home. Once I get the kitties fully vetted, I let them be free to play and snuggle as they please. So if you want to come and visit call, text or email. Picking a companion animal is easier in person, then it is from a photo. Plus I have rescued and live with them, so I am very familiar with their personality.

MONA is a 4 year old, long haired, white, black and grey female. She is super friendly, meows to her name, and does very well in multi-cat households. Mona had her hair cut from Animal Elegance. Her fur coat needed a fresh start. Mona might not be super affectionate at first but I promise you, as soon as I go into the room Mona wants to be acknowledged and petted. Very outgoing not that my shy kitties aren't worth a chance as well. But Mona is very easy to care for, super affectionate and looking to be loved.

Please read this part : For most cats, living in a cat rescue (or shelter) is difficult and overwhelming. They got here because either they were homeless on the street, or a very unsafe / neglectful situation. Then they come here and most get a bath and then go into living in a crate. After quarantine they go for their surgery/testing. Then if they are adults and socially ready, they can play and be out in general population. Especially for the smaller ones and their health and safety -they are kept in their palaces until adoption. Once the cat gets to their forever home, they adapt to their humans. They will follow your routine. The cat will need a month or two to fully adjust to their new home.

MONA is fully vetted. That means she needs nothing- spayed, dewormed, -2 vaccines for FVRCP, microchipped and tested for FeLV & FIV ( negative). The combo test alone at a private vet will cost $120 but we already got her completely fixed up for ya. All this lil queen needs is your love and care.

I am a small-town rescuer from Pittsburgh who pulls these helpless babies from unsafe situations and gets them fully vetted and into loving homes. I put a lot of my love, time and energy into the cats that come into my rescue. So, I am very familiar with them and their background because I rescue the cat,get them well and live with them until adoption. So you will have a unique insight into your cats background. So I am more 1-1 then the large shelters, more familiar with the cats history, and a small non profit so adopting from me supports the rescue and the TNR work I do for the community cats. Supporting small rescuers is very much appreciated in this crazy world. Honestly, we are the "boots on the ground" out there, taking on a lot without the resources or the popularity of the larger rescues.

If you are on Tik Toc follow us @saveourstrays.pgh and see some of the amazing rescues we have done and follow to see who we save next!

Save Our Strays uses some of our profits and donations to get surgeries done for cats that have no one to pay to get them spayed/neutered (TNR). Our first two years we sterilized over 100 community cats, preventing 1000s of them from being born outside.

If you are interested in any of the cats, please call & leave a voicemail or send a text .412 863 0064. I do not have a long application process, just call and talk to me to set up an appointment to meet n greet the kitties. I am always available via phone with any questions you might have, even d
