Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Little P might look a little different, but he's just a diamond the the rough. He is a low-key, mellow cat who enjoys lounging and being brushed. He's not a very active cat, at least in his foster home, so he might be a wonderful couch potato!

You may not know this, but it's quite dangerous for white cats to be outdoors because sunburn can lead to cancer. Unfortunately, that's what happened to Little P: he needed his ears amputated because of squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), a common form of skin cancer.

Little P had a small area of precancerous SCC on his nose that healed well. Still, given Little P's medical history, his expected lifespan will likely be shortened. In the meantime, he has a lot of love to give and would enjoy having a home to call his own.

More about this rescue

We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization dedicated to saving local at-risk shelter pets from the San Jose Animal Care Center. Our goal is to give adoptable animals a chance to shine in a casual and relaxed environment, and expand opportunity for adoptions, thereby reducing the euthanasia rate in Silicon Valley. The Dancing Cat also seeks to create a community of cat lovers by providing a place for fun social and educational events.
