My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oreo is an incredibly sweet and easy dog. He is a fluffy, 25lb, 9 year old boy. His ideal adopter is a one person household. He has interacted with several dogs and has done well with most of them.
Oreo has end stage joint disease in his back legs. He eats Hills JD dry food which he loves and takes pain medication twice a day. Recently he has been receiving hyaluronic acid injections in his knees at Tufts and has two more injections to go that our rescue will cover. Oreo needs a home without many steps and an owner who can pick him up if needed.
Despite the joint disease Oreo loves going on walks. His foster describes him as incredibly sweet, chill and quiet. He is house trained, respects a baby gate or dog pen.

Oreo is being fostered in the Worcester area.

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
