Quint and Tonic are brothers from different mothers but we truly wonder because they are so alike! They are not related and came in separately but have indeed become boy besties, so they must be adopted TOGETHER! They're both slightly awkward, love to play and wrestle and love napping up high. They enjoy getting pets but they do need to get to know you first or it has to be their idea (cats!). They mirror each other's antics and energy and truly feed off each other. Tonic had an injury at one point and had to go back to the rescue for a couple of weeks and when he returned to Catnip Cat Cafe, they were both SO HAPPY to be together again! They've been there for quite a while now and we'd love to see them find their purrrfect forever home soon. These guys are fun, low maintenance, and super handsome! Trust us when we say that they are both awesome! The hard part about getting to know them is that they are unpredictable about when they are zooming around and playing vs. when they are crashed out napping. Play hard. Sleep hard. We have an adoption application to learn a bit about the home our cats will be going to and the family's motivation for adoption and expectations about pet ownership. We also have an adoption contract, which includes a no declawing and indoor-only clause along with a vet promissory note that ensures you will continue with the medical care and spay/neuter if needed.
We DO NOT do any out of state adoptions except on the NC border on a case-by-case basis.
We require a donation of $120 for adoption of unaltered kittens with a PTV Contract. All kittens receive vaccine series and wormings as well as medical treatment as needed. The adopter is responsible for obtaining their rabies vaccine and spay/neuter if the kitten is not of age at the time of adoption. We can provide resources for low cost clinics that offer these services.
We ask a donation of $25 to adopt Career/barn cats.
We require a donation of at least $140 for adoption of Spayed/neutered cat.
Bonded pairs adoption donation is $200.
Sometimes we require rental checks or home inspections. We always have a Meet n Greet to make sure everyone gets along. We encourage bringing the whole family!

Our heart is in TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return of ferals), where cats are fixed, vaccinated, ear tipped, and allowed to live out their lives without reproducing. We are advocates for advancing legal and social acceptance of TNR in Hampton Roads. Our unique feral kitten socialization program has a 90% success rate in socializing feral-born kittens to become loving, in-home pets.
