You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston. Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system. To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters. Our adoption fee varies by dog. We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only. A FTA contract is required.

Squirrel was rescued from a dumpster with his siblings at the age of two weeks and brought to his foster home to be bottle-fed. Squirrel is a very smart cat with a personality bigger than he is. He's full of energy and loves playing. He is also very dramatic and loves attention. Squirrel has been vaccinated, combo-tested, microchipped and neutered and is looking for his forever home.

Submit Application

You MUST register on our website and submit your application. a $20 submission fee is required. www.yorkierescuehouston.org

2.
Interview

Immediately upon receipt of your application, an auto-response email is sent. If you didn't get it, check SPAM. VET RECORDS ARE REQUIRED.

3.
Home Check

You must send VET RECORDS. Home visits are required for puppies and first time pet owners

4.
Meet the Pet

The whole family, including current pets must attend any Meet & Greet.

5.
Sign Adoption Contract

All adoptions require a contract. All YRH dogs have 100% 'right of return' You must promise to never rehome the pet. They come back to US

6.
Pay Fee

Adoption fees vary by pet.

7.
Take the Pet Home
